When we say lifetime, we mean the working life of the platform rather than an unlimited stretch of time. Your access stays active for as long as ISO 26262 Academy is running and the company behind it keeps operating the service. We are building this for the long term and plan to keep developing it for years to come, though access does depend on the service continuing to exist. If we ever had to wind the platform down, we would give you as much notice as we reasonably can.
A lifetime plan is a single payment rather than a subscription, so there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. Because it is a one-time purchase and not a recurring plan, it is non-refundable except where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, such as the 14-day right EU and EEA consumers have under section 8 of our Terms. It gives one person a personal right of access that stays with that account, so it is not transferable and cannot be shared across a team or a company. If you need access for several people, our Teams plans are built for exactly that.
Lifetime access covers the Expert plan features and the content on this platform. Separately priced services such as expert consultations are not included, and neither are Teams or Enterprise features. You can buy the plan until September 2026. As with any purchase here, it is governed by our Terms of Service.

The lifetime plan is a launch-period offer for early users of the platform. After 30 September 2026 it is replaced by a 3-year plan. Lifetime plans bought before the deadline keep their lifetime status and are not affected by the offer closing.
Is the lifetime plan cheaper than subscribing?
It depends on how long you plan to use the platform. Expert currently costs $69.99 per month, or $599.94 per year with yearly billing, with the promotion running at the time of writing. A single lifetime payment of $1,799 works out at roughly 26 months of monthly billing or about 3 years of yearly billing. Beyond that point you pay nothing further, and later price changes cannot reach you.
Can I share a lifetime plan with my team?
No. Like all individual plans, the lifetime plan is for one person's individual use, and the account is not transferable and cannot be shared. If you need access for several people, our Teams plans provide seats, volume discounts and centralized billing and administration.
Can I get a refund on a lifetime purchase?
A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment rather than a recurring plan, so it is non-refundable except where a statutory right of withdrawal applies. If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, the 14-day right of withdrawal described in section 8 of our Terms covers a lifetime purchase like any other paid plan. If you would rather try the platform first, start on the Free plan or take a monthly Expert subscription, which you can cancel at any time, and move to lifetime later while the offer is still open.
